Annabelle can be described in two words: beautiful and sweet. I cannot describe the pride I feel when I see her free stack for treats. Even people who are not in the fancy stop on the street, recognizing her as a show dog. I believe that she has inherited the best of her ancestors.
More importantly, Anna possesses the sweet, loving, playful personality that is the heart of the English Cocker. Our neighbors schedule regular visits with their children, because they all love to play with Anna...and she never grows bored with them! Regular play with children and with her pal, Roxy, continues to increase her confidence and merriness.
Anna's conformation career is off to a promising start. Also, her desire to please gives me hope for her as an obedience dog, and she has already started jumps and play activities in preparation for agility. I believe Rugby and Roxy are helping her develop her instincts, so some birdiness is also beginning to show. We hope to give her the ability to demonstrate her skills in this area as well.
Overall, Anna represents a standard to which our future breeding program will aspire.
