Executive in the Fox Filmed Entertainment division of 20th Century Fox, delivering application and infrastructure capabilities to improve operational efficiency and expand market reach. Selected accomplishments include:

  • Windows Exchange Program. Delivered Microsoft Exchange, Outlook and Microsoft File & Print server capabilities to over 5,000 users internationally, in 20+ territories. Delivered project under budget in projected timeframes. Included successful migration to SAN based windows servers supporting 2,000 users on studio’s Los Angeles lot.
  • Int’l Program Office. Initiated program office for international theatrical and home entertainment initiatives to replace financial and sales support (theatrical distribution systems). Delivered infrastructure for new home entertainment category management client, including remote data center implementation.
  • International Theatrical IT. Directed turn around of international theatrical distribution system implementation.

Responsibilities included requirements definition, release planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, delivery management, operations process definition and deployment, test planning and execution. Led this joint team of 40+ client, vendor and consulting personnel in an initial deployment phase, interim operations and an enhancement phase, to provide additional application infrastructure and security support for the network. Delivered $700k+ in documented annual data communications savings, with increased ability to support corporate communications objectives.
  • Led release planning, requirements and application testing/deployment activities to provide billing, customer care and provisioning systems for a new market launch of this major wireless communications provider. Program Management responsibilities included resource planning, contracting, budgeting, scheduling, and quality management. Led a team of 25-40 client and consulting personnel, enabling successful market launch of services in a major metropolitan area.
  • Led data management team for major customer care and billing application development effort. Directed requirements and data modeling support, data maintenance application development, as well as 7x24 database operations support for application development and production applications. Led a team of 50+ client, contractor and consulting personnel.
  • Led project to deliver advanced configuration & order management capabilities for a custom semi-conductor manufacturer. Responsibilities included architecture, design, test planning and quality management. Supervised a team of 10+ client, contractor and consulting personnel.

Consultant-Manager 1984-1992

  • Member of world headquarters Knowledge-Based Systems group, where responsibilities included monitoring, applying and fostering the use of related technologies throughout the systems integration practice.
  • Served as architect and project lead on a variety of engagements applying knowledge-based systems, object-oriented programming and client/server technologies to industrial products, electronics, finance and government applications.
